Exercise With Your Cycle

During your period - keep it calm, listen to your body. Most importantly rest but these are also great things to support your flow:

  • Walking

  • Yoga

  • Stretching

  • Rest and sleep is ok too

After your period and during ovulation - hormones levels go up, higher levels of testosterone and estrogen so this is when you can increase workouts:

  • Running

  • HIIT - high intensity interval training

  • Cycling

  • Weight training

  • Boot camp workouts

A week before you period or after you ovulate, you’ll feel more like you want to hibernate or even sluggish. Listen to you body and do what feels right to you. Typically at this time you want to:

  • Go walking or hiking

  • Yoga

  • Swimming

  • Stretching

  • Rest and sleep is ok too
